billroperThe Cubs lost game five of the NLDS to the Brewers tonight, 3-1, up in Milwaukee, ending the Cubs season. Each team held serve in their home games, which is why you play for home field advantage. This time, it was to the advantage of the Brewers who had a tremendous second half to end up with the best record in the league.
The good news is that this means that the Dodgers will need to travel to Milwaukee to begin the best of seven NLCS. And if the Brewers hold serve...
Right now, I am rooting for a Brewers vs. Mariners World Series. Neither team has ever won the World Series, so that matchup would guarantee at least one new champion.
And that beats seeing the Yankees win. :)
