Not My Vacation

This is not my vacation. But it was Gretchen's brother Jeff's brief vacation and he's been with us for dinner and post-dinner conversation for the last three days and it's been great fun. I dropped him off at his hotel tonight and he will grab a cab tomorrow, head back to the airport, and rejoin his lovely bride for their anniversary tomorrow.

He's also helping K edit her college admissions essay. I have promised to convert the Google Docs file into some emailable format so that he can take another look at the revised version before it escapes into the wild.

After all, if you've got a man who ran a publishing company and who edited a bunch of books as your uncle, one should take advantage of that! :)

He also wrote a nice inventive novel (and perhaps more but I only know of one), but those skills might not be as appropriate for the admissions essay.
