Visitation

billroperA lot of visiting happened today while I was at work.
The three-inch-thick baked cheesecake is moving towards the oven now. It would have moved there sooner, but our springform pan vanished into the ether, so a new one had to be procured. That didn't happen until just before dinner.
I am looking forward to cheesecake tomorrow. We'll see how the kids do.
I have just explained how beating the batter too much will incorporate too much air and cause the cheesecake to explode in the oven. This has worried some of the Baking Corps...
ETA: They forgot to buy the sour cream. Fortunately, the Jewel is open until midnight. I have returned with the missing ingredient and the cheesecake is in the oven.
