Library Card

billroperThe library is pretty much a real room again.
There's still a few things to pick up off of the floor -- and every time I move an object, I find more debris to sweep up! -- but the floor is by and large clear. I do need to figure out where to put my bowling ball. Perhaps I can slide it into the guitar closet, because I repaired the fallen shelf today and *then* fixed another shelf that was missing a part and refused to go back together when I tried to put it back in. But all of that was something that I figured out given a half an hour parked in a chair in front of the closet.
While doing that, I pulled a couple of guitars out of the closet, which gave me a chance to take my Taylor 710 short-scale guitar out into the family room and reacquaint myself with it after a long absence. It *definitely* needs new strings -- you can see every bit of corrosion on the second fret where my fingers spend a lot of time. But it sounded good in any case -- or perhaps, being *out* of the case.
I've swept the room out. I've mopped it and cleaned up a number of places where Sunshine the Cat left a thin gruel of cat barf.
It looks pretty good. There's still a bit of debris to dispatch in the living room, but most of that will be breaking down boxes.
The dining room has now moved to the top of the list, I think. :)
