In an interview, J.K. Rowling suggests that Harry might be killed in the final book of the series. She notes that two characters end up dying who she hadn't originally planned to have die, while one gets a reprieve. She also mentions that there would be deaths would be among "main characters".

Personally, I think that Harry, Ron, and Hermione (and Ginny, for that matter) all get out alive. I expect that the casualties will be McGonigle and Hagrid, while the one getting the reprieve is Snape.

Of course, I could be wrong...

I just finished telling someone that I think one of the deaths will either be Mr. or Mrs. Weasley.

Mrs. Weasley's death would be more emotional than Mr. Weasley's.

Nah. Harry and Hermione die, and Voldemort becomes the headmaster of Hogwarts. Slytherin takes its place as the rightfull head house.

When I read the article and she mentioned that she didn't want to start receiving hate mail I agree with you that it probably won't be Harry, Ron, Hermoine or Ginny.

Though you could make a very good case for Harry and Voldemort being tied together and Harry having to sacrifice himself to bring about Voldemort's death.
