This Is A Big Desk

It's a big desk. I mean really big. It is wider than the old desk, the return is longer, and it has a hutch. It's a good thing that I'd already planned to get rid of the bookcase near the door, because it wouldn't fit if I tried. (Well, unless I put the enormous laser printer on the desk, but that seems like a bad idea.)

The computers are hooked up again, I can connect to the Internet, and I think I should get some sleep now. Once everything's where it belongs, there will be a picture.

Desks are good. Desks to record on are better.

BTW, slightly off-topic: could it be possible to release Owling At The Moon on CD? Please? My tape is dead....and it's outta print.

We've spoken with bedlamhouse and ladyat about releasing Owling on CD, but they would like to re-record some parts, so it won't be happening soon.

However, the tape isn't out of print. I should know...

Could we get an estimate as to when it might be on CD? mdlbear's copy of the tape is fading, and he hasn't even gotten his album done.

I would love to have Owling on CD, and while it would be nice to have it sound even better, if I have to choose between getting what was released on cassette in this lifetime and getting the perfected one in some theoretical future one, I'd prefer the former.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a "return"?

It's the section at right angles to the main desk, slightly lower and narrower, on which one puts a keyboard (used to be a typewriter, of course).

Right. This is a "secretary's desk", but it's the right design for computer workers. I've discovered that a left-hand return for a right-hand mouse user solves multitudes of fatigue problems, as I can rest my entire right forearm on the desk when mousing.
