So here we are trying to figure out what we're watching in the dead of summer on TV.

The Lazarus Project finished up this week -- and has happily been renewed for a second season. This is one of the better time-travel shows that I've seen on television and if you haven't watched it, I suggest finding it and streaming it. I also suggest turning on the closed captioning, because it makes it easier to see exactly where all of the bleeped F-words were before they were excised as the show made its way across the pond.

We've been watching a lot of The Rookie, because it is safe and engaging. But this is our third viewing for these episodes, so it would be good to find something else.

There are several series that we're hung up in the middle of for various reasons, including Up Here and How I Met Your Father. I am sure we will finish them eventually.

But we have a brand-new old binge candidate that came to me courtesy of an article that showed up in my newsfeed the other day as it lamented the disappearance of what it called the "consulting procedural". This included shows like "Psych" (watched it all), "The Mentalist" (ditto), "Castle" (ditto ditto), "Monk" (bounced off it in the original run, but Gretchen enjoyed Tony Shalhoub enough in Mrs. Maisel that we might try it again), and "White Collar".

Huh. What the heck is "White Collar"? Oh, look. It's on Hulu.

Well, we are three episodes in and enjoying ourselves. And there are six seasons of it.

Yay!
