Father's Day

billroperIt was a lovely, relaxed Father's Day. Gretchen tweaked her knee this morning, so I headed out for lunch without her and ended up running into Star and Hotrod at Grill 12, where we had a nice conversation over lunch. Then I headed back to Home Depot and bought the flowers that I had promised Gretchen for Mother's Day, followed by a stop at Jersey Mike's to bring home subs.
I got to see the Cards beat the Mets in and around a *small* amount of housework, but mostly it was sit back and do little except throw the ball for Ruby the Dog. Later, I fired up the grill and cooked the steaks that I'd bought yesterday, which came out *just fine*. :)
Tomorrow, there will be more cleaning. *Lots* more cleaning.
Did I mention that I bought a new mop while I was at Home Depot?
