They Say It's My Birthday

I had a very nice day. I had been looking for an excuse to go to Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse not too far from here, for some time and my birthday turned out to be a good excuse to take Gretchen there for lunch. The food was excellent and a whole lot of good meat was consumed, along with a small assortment of other things. They had a parmesan pork that was very nice and I'm going to have to find a way to replicate that here at home.
Gretchen referred to the place as the anti-matter version of Sweet Tomatoes, but I like calling it the Bizarro World Sweet Tomatoes a bit better. And, of course, Sweet Tomatoes is gone, but Fogo de Chao is still here.
We had been going to make chicken alfredo florentine for dinner, but baking caused time to slip away, so we ordered pizza instead, which was just fine given what we had eaten for lunch (which was approximately the size of Rhode Island, which is small for a state, but big for lunch). We probably didn't actually eat *that* much for lunch, but we had a lot of different small servings of meat, so it seemed larger.
Anyway, it was a very nice birthday.
