All Patched Up

Department of That Took Way Longer Than I Might Have Hoped: After doing a whole bunch of patching and copying code from a proof-of-concept branch back to the branch that I'm working on, I finally got everything working in my test code. One of the most frustrating things at work is when you've solved a problem, but the code that you've solved it with is in another branch and can't be trivially migrated to the one that you're working on.

But I have pulled the right assemblage of bits back to the current line and can now get on with finishing up this project.
