Last Night's Concert
Jul. 10th, 2022 10:46 pmSo last night, I took K (because Gretchen wasn't feeling up to it) down to Wrigley Field with me to see the Zac Brown Band in concert. It was an impressive show in three acts, including the third act with the "megaband" performing a medley of 80s hits from a variety of sources.
I was saddened by not being able to follow a lot of what Zac was saying during the first act about various members of his band and how they got together, because the people in the audience simply would not shut up. The continuous loud conversations going on made it really, really difficult to decipher to understand what he was saying. I'd bemoan the recent decline in manners, except I recall a similar problem on the lawn at Ravinia around two decades ago.
Bunch of idiots...
I shared this with Amy McNally on Facebook earlier this evening. In the second act, the band performed a decidedly uptempo version of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". You may ask, how can you do that?
Well, here's how.
