It's a Bed!

billroperThanks to Sam, who was able to come out this afternoon and help me with the assembly, our master bedroom is now capable of sleeping four, at least temporarily. The new bed was hauled upstairs; the bedframe in pieces, because that was easier, while the giant box of mattress had to go up in one piece, pretty much one stair at a time.
Sam kept looking for a couple of guys he knew twenty years ago who would have had much less trouble moving the box, but they appear to be trapped twenty years in the past. We made do.
Anyway, the bed is ready to acquire mattress pad and sheets.
I hope we like it, because I have come to *hate* the old bed. More about that later, as Gretchen would like to be *on* the new bed, rather than just staring at it.
