Julie Is 14

billroperWe had a lovely birthday celebration for Julie today. She asked to go to Red Robin, so we went out to the mall for lunch. From there, we proceeded to the Build A Bear Workshop, where she acquired a stuffed Stitch doll from Lilo and Stitch. K and J were then dispatched to Hot Topic while Mom and Dad sat on a bench and relaxed for a bit.
Dinner was Mexican casserole and home-made tiramisu. For a first attempt at tiramisu, it was a pretty good job. K can iron the rough edges off of it next time. :)
During and after dinner, we watched "How To Train Your Dragon" at Julie's request. I liked it the first time that I saw it and I still do.
Then Julie got to open additional presents. She had said that she didn't care much what she got or how small it was, as long as there was lots of paper to tear, so Gretchen took her at her word and wrapped four individual cake pops in separate boxes.
The last box had an attractive set of metal D&D dice in black and gold that I found for her online.
We're going to mark this down as a successful day. :)
