Throw the Squid!

billroperYesterday, there was some time after dinner and before sunset, so the temperature being pleasant for a change, Gretchen and I wandered out to the patio to sit for a spell, along with Ruby the Dog.
Of course, the thing Ruby likes best in the world is fetching things and it turns out that I am better at flinging her "squid" toy (a Kong Wubba) than anyone else in the family as I get both height and distance, which makes it easier for Ruby to run under. She will chase the toy to point of exhaustion, happy every minute.
It's nice to see that much happiness. :)
