Could someone please explain to me why I thought that trying to take a day off on Friday the 13th was a good idea?

As you might expect, I have failed.

I have been surprisingly busy on Fridays, with some regularly scheduled conference calls in the 1-3pm range. I've had to justify skipping them a few times in order to take a few key Fridays off, like for Virtual Balticon and NEWhere.
