I don't think anyone really does, but it happens every few years. (A couple of years ago, we got three inches of sideways slush on Halloween. That was fun. FSVO.)
It was in the mid-70's early today in MD. Now we have a line of strong-to-severe thunderstorms moving through the area. Though at the moment I am just hearing rain, which we badly need (and some moderate wind).
The storms are moving through late enough that I was able to take the Shmoo around, get home and put him to bed before it got wet and windy.
