A Remarkable World Series

The Nationals just beat the Astros in game 7 of a World Series where the home team did not win a single game. This is slightly more unlikely than the Cardinals / Twins World Series in 1987 where the visiting team did not win a single game resulting in a Twins victory.

This was a heckuva series!

I am, not surprisingly, delighted. Also exhausted, having stayed up past 11pm Tuesday night and past midnight last night. But delighted.

It was. I had no dog in this fight, so it was nice to see a well-played, mostly close games, series.

Elder Urchin sent me a picture of the nearly empty bar she was watching it in -- to be fair, it was not quite noon Melbourne (AUS) time, and Australians are not that much for American baseball, especially before lunch on a workday.
