Pharmaceutically Crazy

I have been moving a number of our prescriptions from OptumRX to Walgreens, because I have gotten manufacturer discount program cards that the former will not take through their mail order pharmacy while the latter will do so happily at the window. Today, I picked up a month’s supply of Bydureon. I’ve been paying $640 a year for this prescription.

Today’s price: $0.

This system seems insane, but I think I will keep this up as long as it keeps working.
