The problem with having to get girls to school by 8 AM is worse when you have to get one of them to school by 7:20 AM for Jazz Band. I'm all in favor of it, save for the massive sleep disruption two days a week.
I feel your pain -- I did that for 10 years, with a 7am rehearsal.
OTOH, the sleep disruption wasn't too bad, as the kids had to leave for the bus stop at 7am anyway. I just had to get dressed myself, and often did the grocery shopping on the way home.
