Hot, Muggy, and Miserable

We had looked at the weather forecast for July 4th and concluded that it was going to be hot, muggy, and miserable. Accordingly, we spent most of the day in the air conditioning and skipped going out to see fireworks. (There were too many going off in the neighborhood for Ruby's taste anyway.)

We *did* get to grill for dinner, so that was fun.

And now, it is time to watch "Elementary" and head off to bed.

I was going to take the Shmoo to a local display, but he was behaving badly in the morning so I decided we would stay home and he'd get put to bed at his usual time. Then Sheryl and I watched "A Capitol Fourth". We could faintly *hear* the local display, though we didn't have a clear sightline.
