Life Imitates Art

We had a different cleaning woman today, because we were out of town on Monday and our regular cleaning woman couldn't make it on Tuesday. The substitute stacked up everything on my dresser, the desk, and the floor of the office in a variety of interesting ways. I'm sure I'll be able to get into the closet again soon.

But it was when I finished using the toilet upstairs and discovered that we had another failed flush that I looked at the spot where the plunger should have been that I found myself calling to daisy_knotwise, "Gretchen, where is the plunger that once stood proudly here in the bathroom, because I don't see it?"

It had been put away in the vanity.
