The DVR (a.k.a. "Guy Box") is back to randomly deleting items from the schedule again, although it no longer appears to be limited to 8 items. Toshiba Technical Support needs to be beaten with a stick.

Sorry that was me.... apparently the keep me logged in option had trouble understanding either the "keep", "me" or "logged in" portions of that command
