I finally made it back down to Wrigley Field with a friend of mine and we watched as the Cubs demolished the Mets. Seeing the Mets get demolished is generally a good thing, even in their current piteous state...

I was having dinner Tuesday with a group including possibly the most enthusiastic baseball fan I've ever hung out with. He was following a Cubs-Mets game on his phone, not sure if it was the same one. Every time something good for the Cubs happened, he shouted quite loudly. Fortunately we were pretty much the only people in the dining room and Popeye's didn't care.
