23 Years and an Anniversary Gift

billroperGretchen and I have been married for 23 years today. This is somewhat amazing, all things considered.
Katie's softball team delivered a lovely anniversary present, as they played their second game of the season (and the first that Katie was there for), and ended up winning by a score of 20-8. We were suitably impressed. So was the other coach who, after the game, thought that the girls were a travel team. They aren't. In fact, they're sort of the number two team in Des Plaines at this level. But, like Avis, they apparently try harder. :)
When we got home, I grilled some T-bone steaks for anniversary dinner. In a little while, there will be home-made key lime pie for dessert.
And then there will be sleep, because I have four days of meetings in the Loop starting tomorrow.
I guess it's good that we got married on this date and not any later.
