Today, the meeting at work went out for lunch and bocce ball. It turns out that experience with bowling and putting helped a lot with this game that I had never played before. :)
Wow, I don't think I've even seen a bocce game since I was a kid in the Hermosa neighborhood of Chicago. It was mostly played by old Italians and Greeks, if I recall correctly (and at this late date I wouldn't bet on it). One of my neighbors tried to get me interested, but I was more into reading than sports.
Bonnie claims we played it once up in the UP, but I'm not sure that the game we played was bocce.
