Gretchen and I finished off the first season of this show tonight. We rather liked it and are looking forward to next season.

Although after the final scene aired, Gretchen turned to me and said, "So you're taking me out for a beer and explaining what just happened, right?"

Heh. The show is... interesting to someone whose grasp of the DCU(s) is getting more tenuous all the time. Got them all saved, have to fish them up, sometime.

Having sat through all four CW/DC panels [that sounds wrong, I wanted to be there] at Comic-Con without too many spoilers (not that they gave many) the next season looks good too.

Vixen and Hourman are joining the crew while The Hawks spend some quality time away.

On the villain front, they'll be facing a legion of villains including Malcolm Merlyn and one other familiar face from Arrow (and some names that probably meant more to the comic book/DC savvy folk in the room than they did to me).

The panel also got to have John Barrownan make allusions to his common acting past with Arthur Darvil (which Tara says seemed to go over the heads of some people in the audience). Someone also did ask Darvil about the weirdness of playing against a character named "Rory," and he admitted it was a bit odd at first.

I also noted that upon hearing Franz Drameh's natural accent (or at least natural when speaking to American audiences), I couldn't help but wonder if he and Arghur Darvil could totally cut the rest of the cast and crew out of a conversation as they sound to my ears like they come from the same part of London.
