billroperBoth Katie and Julie are planning to play softball this spring. Julie, who signed up late, needed to be measured for her uniform, while Katie was scheduled for evaluations with the older girls.
Katie had some problems fielding balls with a borrowed glove, but I suspect some coaching to get her to stop backhanding everything will help. She did a good job of hitting the ball on the pole, whacking it with authority. And when I convinced to take a go at trying to pitch, she absorbed the coaching fairly quickly and did a credible job of getting the ball over and to the catcher.
Now, of course, she wants a glove. As in immediately.
There will be a glove, but it may not be until next weekend. :)
