Once More, With Feeling

I left the sing following filkertom's house concert at alymid's house because I knew that I'd have to get up relatively early today. However, my voice seems to be much better than it was last weekend at WindyCon and I managed to sing two songs without the problems that I'd had previously.

Got up and grabbed lunch with daisy_knotwise, then headed over to Rich's house and knocked off eight games of APBA baseball against Allan and Lanny, going 5-3 on the day, which was just fine.

I knew that Gretchen's brother, Jeff, and his wife, Carol, were joining us for dinner, so I called to see if there was anything I could pick up on the way home. Gretchen suggested apple pie. I countered with cherry, which was happily acceptable. I also grabbed a quart of vanilla custard, which went nicely with the pie.

It turns out that Jeff contracted the Venusian Death Cold at WindyCon and has spent much of this week in bed. *sigh* But other than that, a good time was had by all.

K is also a victim of the VDC. It's particularly bad when it hits the sole proprietor of a small business.

I understand Madame Chairman survived it, so there is hope for the rest of our loved ones.

Oh, yeah. I understand that sole proprietor problem.

In the meantime, Bonnie survived it, as did Sam, as did Gretchen, as did I. This has been one busy little Venusian Death Cold.
