Here's hoping the Lab personality predominates; Border Collies tend to be workaholics and I get the impression that Katie and Julie would NOT appreciate being herded.
I was thinking that, too ... a Border Collie needs a LOT of stimulation, both mentally as well as RUNNING!!! Otoh, since labs are notorious for inhaling all the food they can get, a lot of running wouldn't hurt them, either ;-) A mix of both must look really cute, I imagine (and patiently wait for photos ;-))
The good news is that we have a big fenced yard. And if she needs more space than that we have the soccer field behind the house. And a couple of girls that like to run around a lot, too.
Being as Tollers are frequently described as Border Collies in a retriever suit, I approve of this potential combination of personalities/work ethics. :-D
