Tuesdays at the Castle

I'm not sure exactly why or how, but Gretchen fished out a book called Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George for my nightly reading to Katie and Julie. Tonight, after more than three weeks of reading a chapter a night, I announced that there were only two chapters remaining and that we'd finish on Sunday.

"No!" Katie exclaimed. "I don't want the story to end."

Happily, it turns out that there are two sequels, with a fourth book in the series to be released early next year.

The next book will be arriving on Sunday. :)

(Which makes me happy too. It's an engaging story.)

That is a pretty fun book/series. If they like that, they might also like her Dragon Slippers books.
(The Twelve Dancing Princesses books are actually my favorite of hers that I've read, but are possibly for a slightly older audience. They're more YA than children's chapter books.)
