A Comfortable Old Shoe

We watched NCIS: New Orleans last night. I've never really been a fan of either of the other two incarnations of NCIS, but this one could grow on me. Although original NCIS creator, Donald Bellisario, isn't apparently involved with the show, it features two veterans of earlier Bellisario shows: Scott Bakula, from Quantum Leap, and Zoe McLellan, from JAG. And it feels like a comfortable old shoe.
With luck, this one will hang around for a while.

Date: 2014-09-26 04:54 pm (UTC)NCIS is still coming from Donald Bellisario's company; NCIS:LA is from Shane Brennan's company, and NCIS: New Orleans from two other companies.
I was also amused by one scene in the back door pilot last spring where we had Mark Harmon, Scott Bakula, and Joe Spano sharing the screen. As far as I know, all three first came to prominence as actors in quality NBC shows that started or ran in the 1980s. (Quantum Leap didn't actually overlap with Hill Street Blues or St. Elsewhere, so I'm stretching a bit)
