How I Met Your Mother ended tonight after nine seasons.

I am satisfied.

Satisfied with the ending, or by it ending? (Disclaimer: I love this series :-)

I am satisfied with the ending and a bit sad that I won't see any new episodes. But it was time to wrap it up.

I dunno, in recent years there's been a lot of behavior not consistent with someone's previously-established character, just to do something a screenwriter might be funny for 22 minutes. The final season is full of this.

I kept watching because, I guess, I had already invested years in this show, and continued to wonder WHEN THE HECK IS TED GOING TO MEET YOUR MOTHER?

I'm still hoping that, in the final episode, they actually meet. But don't spoil it for me. I haven't seen it yet...

I grant them points for the novel, and structurally-challenging, idea of setting the entire final season in a period of a few days in a single location. And I like that Your Mother has shown up, and interacted with characters other than Ted already. And that she plays the ukulele.

Well, you have to remember that the story hits its logical end when Ted meets the Mother. Or so we've always been told...
