Happy Fantasy Baseball Things
Jun. 4th, 2013 04:12 pmSo the folks at ESPN have held another of their Franchise Player Drafts where they select players who they would want to have on their team if they could draft any major league player to start their franchise, based on their expected performance for the next ten years.
Now, I'm in a continuous ownership APBA league (and have been for some time) with only eight teams, so we have some pretty strong teams. However, I was gratified to find that I have four of the top six, six of the top twenty, and eleven of the top fifty players picked.
#2 -- Bryce Harper (OF)
#3 -- Manny Machado (3B/SS)
#5 -- Clayton Kershaw (LHP)
#6 -- Evan Longoria (3B)
#15 -- Jason Heyward (OF)
#20 -- Justin Upton (OF)
#37 -- Matt Wieters (C)
#41 -- Adam Wainwright (RHP)
#44 -- Elvis Andrus (SS)
#48 -- Carlos Santana (C)
#50 -- Yadier Molina (C)
Ok, so I have too many catchers...
(Yes, I know. You can never have too many catchers.)
