Logic Puzzle Solved

The resistable force met the movable object today as the Cubs carried their losing streak to Pittsburgh to run headlong into the Pirates losing streak. At least one team had to win, barring a meteor strike on the ballpark.

It turned out that the Pirates won easily. This reduces the Cubs elimination number for the wild card to 1 with five games left. That is not mathematically eliminated from the race, but it is certainly tangentially close to it.
