Boxing Day

Sam, Bonnie, and Jerry joined us for dinner tonight. Several of us helped out in the kitchen as Gretchen made stew that turned out well and an experimental apple pie with a gingersnap crumb crust and a cheddar cheese crumb topping that *almost* worked, failing primarily due to spending a bit too much time in the oven and scorching the crust. But the innards were good!
