The weather forecast for tomorrow around here is relatively dire, so we decided that today would be a good day for our last SpaceTime Theater rehearsal for our upcoming Capricon show. It ended up being an evening rehearsal, since we had to coordinate all schedules, but that was ok, because we need to practice being funny after dinner.

Earlier in the day, we went out and picked up a metric ton of groceries so that we'd have everything that we were short on stocked up and a nice brisket for dinner on Sunday.

And this evening, I spent some time in the basement playing with some more trial plugins (I decided not to buy them after going over them with Gretchen) and then with a lovely piano track that [livejournal.com profile] quadrivium sent me for Juanita's recording of "The Admiral Graf Spee".

Now, we just need to get Katie to go to bed... :)

An update on the new washer: So far, so good.

Today, I washed a large load of underwear, socks, jeans, and such. [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise looked at the very full laundry basket and questioned whether the new washer could handle a load of that size.

It could. And it spun the water out of it very effectively, so it dried quickly.

Then I washed the old comforter that's been sitting down in the basement for a couple of months. No problem.

And finally, I washed the two bathroom rugs that had been sitting down there for a similar length of time. Also no problem.

So this is encouraging.

Now if Gretchen could just reach the bottom of the washer drum without needing a step stool, it would be perfect. :)
