Today's Rant

Why is it that many people seem to assume that I don't know what I'm talking about? I concede that there's the possibility that I'm wrong, since I've been known to occasionally be wrong in the past (some days perhaps more than occasionally), and I am certainly open to new data. But in the absence of new data, being told that X is wrong or a waste of time when my experience indicates otherwise simply isn't going to improve my mood.
