I have once again latched onto one of those projects at work that looks like it ought to be simple -- and indeed it would be, if only the right infrastructure were in place. I just need to rebuild the underlying infrastructure so that it operates in a more general way.

This is somewhat akin to "just adding another lane to the Tri-State Tollway so we can handle the traffic flow".

I will finish this eventually, but I keep finding new things that need to be tweaked.

*sigh*

(I don't think there's a Will Robinson on any of this year's MLB playoff teams, but the sentiment seems appropriate.)

A few days ago, I noted that the Colorado Rockies were a very dangerous team. The Phillies are finding this out, as they've just lost their first two home games to the Rockies and trail the series 0-2 as they go to Colorado. The Rockies are not a team that anyone wants to face right now.

In the meantime, I'm watching the Cubs game where Soto has just hit a two-run homer to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead in game 2.
