Time sort of slipped away from us this weekend. Between SpaceTime Theater rehearsal yesterday, a visit from Sam, Bonnie, and Steve this afternoon, and having [livejournal.com profile] jeff_duntemann and Carol over for dinner tonight, we got less accomplished than we might have hoped.

On the other hand, I've made some progress on the ISFiC Press books (and must make more tomorrow!), [livejournal.com profile] jeff_duntemann pressed buttons on the recording gear so I could record a scratch track of Crosstime Bus and send it off to [livejournal.com profile] quadrivium for the GAFilk Songbook, [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise counted the Fencon cash box and gave Katie a much-needed bath, and I've got the reorders for ConClave written out and ready to go into various e-mails.

So it's not that we didn't get that much accomplished -- it's just that we have high standards! :) (We often fail to meet them...)

Having learned to hate the Mets when they and the Cardinals were both busy being good in the 1980s and having moved to Chicago where they still haven't forgiven the Mets for taking advantage of the Cubs' 1969 collapse, it was nice to see the Mets perform a historic collapse of their own, blowing a 7 game lead with 17 games to go. Not quite as good as the Phillies (who took advantage of this year's Mets collapse) who blew a 6.5 game lead with 12 games left in 1964, allowing the Cards to advance to and win the World Series, but a quite satisfying collapse nevertheless.

And we are now safe from the danger of another Subway Series. :)
