It's decidedly Spring here today and there's nothing on the schedule, so I was out of excuses and thus went for a walk this morning for the first time since the cruise last fall. I managed about 3.4 miles in just over an hour, which is certainly ok for a first effort.

Our 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan is approaching the point where we normally want to replace it. The problem is that, since we need to use it to haul the Secret Empire table to conventions, we have some pretty stringent requirements for how much space there needs to be in the back. We measured the current van, then went to the Ford dealer that I bought my new car from to take a look at the Ford Freestar. It's just this much too small. Unfortunately, that's just enough to disqualify it.

So, next to the Dodge/Chrysler dealer. They have a new Stow & Go seating option that is really, really nice. The seats tuck away into the floor in any random useful combination, providing lots of cargo space and no need to figure out where to hide the middle seat of the van for the seven or so years that you'll be owning it. And the Touring package has the right set of options, pretty much. And the dealer has several of them on the lot. And there's a $2500 rebate between now and May 2nd.

This is, perhaps, more than I needed to know right at this moment.

[livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise and I ducked out to see Miss Congeniality 2. It's a fun trip. Not too heavy in terms of message, suitably silly, and less contrived than I might have feared. Gretchen thinks she actually likes it better than the original; I'm not sure myself.
