Good Intentions
Feb. 20th, 2012 09:56 pmI bunged up my right ankle pretty well in a fall on a Metra train back in mid-December. However, it's almost entirely back to normal, which means that my excuses for not getting on the exercycle were boiling down to:
Work is making me nuts.
I'm tired.
I don't want to.
Obviously, this had to stop. So this morning, I got up, got dressed for the occasion, headed to the office --
And discovered that the exercycle was locked up solid so that nothing would move.
I knew that the chain had been a little funky. It seems very loose now. I don't know if Katie and Julie jammed something in it or it just decided that it had had enough. But now it needs to go to the shop. And since
daisy_knotwise's knee is not up to the task of helping me get it down the stairs and into the van, that will have to wait until
samwinolj can come by later this week and assist.
My intentions were good. The execution was lousy.
