This Too Shall Pass

I'm scheduled for a routine colonoscopy tomorrow -- with two parents who died of colon cancer, I'm on the list to keep an eye on. This will be the third one and I'm hoping the results are good. But we'll know more later.
In the meantime, I've been on a diet of clear liquids all day. Then there's the clean out procedure that started tonight.
All things considered, though, it beats the alternative.

Date: 2005-07-29 06:50 pm (UTC)(Although I go for the -- excuse the expression -- full-bore colonoscopy. And a Canadian friend of mine had a single nasty polyp that was too far up for sigmoidoscopy to detect, but he was fortunate enough to have the colonoscopy that did find it.)
