Clogged Again

The toilet in the back bathroom is clogged again, but this time beyond the reach of the auger. Foul water backs up in the tub.

We'll have to call a plumber at this point. Unfortunately, with the holiday, the toilet is down until Monday or Tuesday next week at the earliest, because I'm not going to pay holiday rates for this mess.

Yuck. Poor you. Sympathy hugs! We had that a few weeks ago. Really yucky.

It may be worth seeing if you have an accesible cleanout downstairs (basement?). If you do, um, have a garbage can handy if you try to open it. If there's no standing water at the cleanout, you've at least localized the problem.

Yeah, similar problem at my mom's place Thanksgiving weekend. Except we ended up with problems at every drain in the house (the blockage was in the main line out to the septic tank).
