daisy_knotwise did a full frontal assault on the family room, which now looks much better. And while Gretchen was doing that, I headed into the library and have reduced the level of chaos there to the point where it's now possible to walk into the room. The telescope has been tucked away into a corner, so it's probably also safe to leave the door open.
There's a big pile of boxes in the living room to be reduced to cardboard and a lot of mess there still to be sorted out, but it's back on the path to be something better than a storeroom again. :)
