After disavowing any knowledge of these TVs coming in as of Tuesday, Frys was advertising them again today. I called and was told that they had less than five and more than two, suggesting they might actually have some. daisy_knotwise and I met for lunch to see the Hot Dog Island veterans (including the former owner, Jerry, who hadn't realized that we had a little girl and who found Katie quite charming), we went down to Frys.
As it happened, they did have the TV. I produced my rain check, got the set for $100 less than currently advertised, loaded it into the back of the minivan, and sent it home with Gretchen as I headed back to work.
We'll see what it looks like when I unwrap it...
