National Treasure

daisy_knotwise and I headed off to the cheap theater tonight to see National Treasure. It's not quite Raiders of the Lost Ark, but it's close in feel, with lots of actual wit and things that will be really funny to the bright viewer. Billy Bob says see it.

Gretchen picks a nit: Charles Carroll, the last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence, was the only Catholic to sign it and was unlikely to have gotten along well with the Masons of the time, or the Masons with him.

I went to see it this afternoon.

There were quite a few little points like the ones mentioned but I chose to ignore them (mostly, I still noticed them)

I thought it was delightful though, but a little too smart for the average viewer.

I'll probably get it though so the wife can see it, she'd love it

Tegan and I saw it as first run. We both thought it was a really fun ride.

I saw it as an almost-second run at the only theater in town that is still a one-screen. Had to really suspend my disbelief, but it was fun. Highly unlikely, but alot of fun.
