billroperMy prescription plan has been encouraging me to switch to Avandia for several years now. Apparently, that would have been a bad idea.
Of course, it's always possible that Actos -- the drug that I've stubbornly continued to take, despite the fact that I paid more for it -- has the same nasty side effect, but my understanding is that the drugs are substantially different in their metabolic pathway, even though the end results are similar. So maybe not...
