I had thought that I was going to go out for a walk this morning, but there's an inch of snow on the ground and the temperatures are 20 degrees below "normal for the date".

I think I'll go work on the taxes instead.

Don't take this wrong, but if 1" of snow is enough to deter you, your heart really isn't in trying to exercise.

Go shovel the snow!! :-)

It's not so much the inch of snow; it's the cold weather and the slush.

The slush condition is why I'm not bothering to shovel it...

We were having all sorts of cold this week as well. It's warmer today (just below freezing) I think the cold is worse than the snow. Ah well spring is around the corner! Yeah I know the weather has little to do the date, but it still gives me some comfort

Yeah, I'm getting really tired of cold weather and snow. Ours isn't really sticking at all, but the high wind combined with the biting coldness of snow is making me very unhappy. And it's been like this almost every day this week. Blurgh.

Dad helpfully told me Thursday that it was 80-something in Las Vegas. Apparently they're having *above* average temperatures right now. I think they're stealing all our warmth. Hmmphf.

According to the weather map in the Tribune today, that's pretty much correct. The jet stream has dipped down below us, pulling cold air down in the Midwest, but is still running high in the West, so they're getting warm air coming in.
