CBS Doesn't Know Jack

The Chicago Tribune reports (among other things) that the ratings at WJMK-FM in Chicago have fallen like a rock since they dumped their local talent and the oldies format to switch to Jack FM, which has been likened to listening to someone else's iPod. The station's ranking has declined from 11th to 25th in the market, going from 2.9 to 1.7.
Obviously, CBS Radio management was expecting this, as they have demonstrated their inability to follow the fine business maxim, "When you're in a hole, stop digging." Earlier this week, they let go Dick Biondi and the rest of the on-air talent that had been broadcasting to an audience of approximately zero people on their HD outlet.
For some Chicago broadcaster with two brain cells to rub together, this might be seen as an opportunity.
