Website Update

Because I obviously felt compelled to stay up too late, I've updated the website at Filker.com, putting eight new songs up and adding an index by album.

The home page contains no textual information and no alt text for the images. This is unfriendly to users of non-graphic browsers, and to users whose browsers are set to load images only on demand. It also means search engines can't see useful words like "filk" and "music" to index the page on.

tarkrai helped me set up the webpage, so I admit to being fairly ignorant of what is lying beneath.

I take suggestions, though, if someone can tell me how to implement them. :) (But I coded the new pages in the song index by copying the old index, looking up a page of HTML tags, and using brute force.)

The first recommendation I'd make is to add an ALT attribute, e.g., ALT="Songs", to each IMG tag.

Ah! good, let me know when it is finished! I assume I can link to it as a place to get BBB First Contact? People seem to still want that frequently and I'm out! :-) (Sold the last one at Arisia).

Great! I added a link to my recordings page. I probably should have you send some more but let's wait til I'm more solvent. We're not gigging that much right now - frankly our next gig is likely to be Duckcon and I just have this suspicion one of the dealers there will have some for sale! (grin)
